Founded in 2018, the London School of Mindfulness & Wellbeing (LSMW) is an educational research centre for physical, psychological, spiritual and planetary wellbeing. Our dedicated tutors are devoted to providing the most direct encounter possible with the teachings themselves, enabling students to learn from, and not merely about, spirituality, morality and wellbeing with insights from the most profound thinkers and spiritual figures the world has ever known. There are three core strands to our work:
i) Short courses and retreats focusing on the Hindu concept of hita (our overall wellbeing). Our educational centre offers teaching in theology, metaphysics and philosophy rooted in consciousness, in the light of the sacred traditions of the East and the West.
ii) Publications and online resources on the LSMW’s core teaching areas.
iii) Accredited training for practitioners of holistic education in human values, body-mind-spirit medicine and astro therapy (The ARK Method). Please note that this is an invitation-only training programme.
Inspired by the quest for reality and in a spirit of seeking meaning, The London School of Mindfulness and Wellbeing holds courses, readings and mindfulness sessions focused on wellbeing through the year. Delving into the heart of the exoteric teachings of the Eastern Tradition (Brahmanism, Jainism, Taoism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Eastern Christianity & Islam) and of the West (The Ancients, the Indo-European Germanic Tradition and Christianity), our study groups also draw on key esoteric mystical insights.
Our activities are based mainly in London and are open to all.

This in-depth introductory course explores the principal ideas and themes of Krishna’s teachings within the Bhagavad Gita. A part of the great Hindu classic, the Mahābhārata, the Gita is presented as a dialogue between the skillful warrior Arjuna and the god Krishna, as Arjuna faces a crisis about dharma and prepares for a great battle with no defenses other than Krishna’s divine guidance. Through direct engagement with the text, the course offers an opportunity to delve into the universal sacred principles that are our common spiritual heritage, which have shaped civilisations for centuries.

Guided Discussions: The Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali was an 8-week course designed to provide students with an in-depth introduction on the Yoga Sūtras, the ultimate treatise on well-being in the Hindu tradition. We are grateful to our course leader, M. R. Ry. Ravi Kandamath LLB FRAS, for introducing us both to Patanjali’s seminal teachings and to Charles Johnston’s beautiful translation of the text.
